Career days at schools

Professions with a future

In November, we took advantage of the schools' offer and thanked them for the opportunity to present our company as an employer.

The Career days are the ideal place for pupils to get in touch with potential employers and find out about educational opportunities and apprenticeships.

David Huber and Michael Steinbacher - both graduates of the Higher Technical College in the fields of economics and electrical engineering - took the opportunity to exchange ideas with the students during the event at the HTL Waidhofen/Ybbs. The participants gained a good overview of the wide variety of products developed and sold by the company.

  • As HTL graduate in the field of electrical engineering (or mechanical engineering), you can take your first steps into professional life in the Steinbacher team. Your tasks will include, for example, designing control cabinets with programmes such as EPLAN, creating circuit diagrams, as well as costing and customer support. You are guaranteed comprehensive training and the best possible support from the Steinbacher team! Further information on the advertised jobs and salary can be found at here
  • As Apprentice for Energy technician or to the Energy technician Ideally, you will have a talent for maths, accuracy, a willingness to learn and the ability to get things done. As a team member of our family business, you will quickly experience your own small and large successes, you can try things out and take on responsibility yourself. The training period is 3.5 years (compensation according to the collective labour agreement).

At the new secondary school in Hollenstein/Ybbs, Ms Alteneder and Mr Spörer were also on hand to answer questions from interested pupils. Even apprentices in the Steinbacher team, They were able to tell the young people at first hand about their experiences and the benefits of their vocational training.

We were delighted at the keen interest shown by the younger generation in the important and future-proof fields of electrical engineering, metalworking and office work and hope to see them again soon.
