In the course of the now traditional Broadband Symposium with Open House, invited guests gathered at the Kongresshaus in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Bavaria on 14 and 15 June 2023 for interesting expert presentations and panel discussions.
Finally, in the evening at the Olympic Ice Sports Centre, a special big event was held to celebrate the company's anniversary. 60 years Langmatz held.
The beginning of a success story ...
Originally from Berlin, Mr Langmatz once made sailboat masts (Gorch Fock) and moved to Garmisch with his wife because of the good air.
As an entrepreneur, he began to develop new technical solutions on the conveyor belt especially for energy suppliers and municipalities.
The company he founded and took over in the 1990s is now active worldwide and has over 500 motivated employees at five locations. In particular, the market in Germany and Austria, long neglected Fibre optic expansion is a topic of recent years.
Since 2003, the company with its headquarters in Garmisch-Partenkirchen has been an important partner company of Steinbacher Energiewhich we are very proud of.
Exchange and entertainment
Following speeches by Managing Director Dieter Mitterer and Supervisory Board Chairman Dr Heinz Klinger, the guests were able to enjoy an international variety theatre with singing and piano music on the first evening.
A company tour of the newly expanded Oberau plant on the second day was also not to be missed.
And a remarkable detail: the exhibition tent in the Olympic ski stadium below the ski jumps was made from the 2021 Steinbacher Energie supplied Underfloor manifolds electrically supplied!
In addition to the many exhibitors of distinction, there were workshops (for instance DuctRepair Solution from ELITEX - a world first represented by Steinbacher Energie in Austria) at the middle station of the large ski jump and a downhill option with Flying Fox (270 m, 70 km/h, 40 m above ground). Of course, Managing Director Helmut Steinbacher did not miss this thrill!
