October Fiber Fest

Bright sunshine and a conference with top presentations on fibre optic technology combined with product presentations by international manufacturers, a tour of the company and a traditional Oktoberfest attracted many interested people to Hollenstein/Ybbs on 12 October 2018. Among the guests were mayors from the surrounding municipalities and representatives of the Chamber of Commerce.

Speakers on the topic of broadband expansion were NR Mag. Andreas Hanger, DI Dr. Igor Brusic as well as CMG-AE and BMVIT. Product managers from CORNING (Berlin), LANGMATZ (Garmisch), REHAU (Erlangen and Neulengbach, micro pipes from Lower Austria) and Dataware (Oberwaltersdorf) offered up-to-date technical presentations on the topic of glass fibre and subsequently 5G and presented brand new components.

Guests included the mayors of Hollenstein, Waidhofen, Opponitz, Ardagger, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, etc. Helmut and Martina Steinbacher were pleased to welcome customers and interested parties from the utilities, industry, electrical and construction sectors, who also took the opportunity to get to know the variety of products on site.

Oktoberbier, fine wines, Henderl, pretzels, apple strudel and the Blue Lagoon bar were very well received. All in all, a broad and successful event on the topic of fibre optics.
