New energy storage system in operation

Power for the future with LiFePO4 large-scale storage systems

Sustainable energy supply Our sophisticated production processes require foresight and the courage to invest:
The energy storage system, which was installed on the Wieden site in spring 2026 and commissioned by the Steinbacher team a few days ago, now complements the company's in-house photovoltaic system.

Storage system optimises energy use in the company

Electricity from renewable energy sources is now utilised even more efficiently. Specifically, the 200kWp photovoltaic system installed on the hall roofs in 2024 and the new large storage unit with 530 kWh will be able to generate approx. 80 % of the electrical energy demand of the entire site be covered.

The surplus energy stored during the hours of sunshine can now also be utilised for production processes during periods of low light, i.e. it can be drawn from the storage system as required. At the same time, the load on the public grid is reduced.

Modern technology is used LiFePO4 battery technology, which is characterised by a high level of safety, a service life of around 15 years and thermal stability. The air-conditioned switch cabinet ensures consistent performance and also integrates a fire suppression system.

Responsible use of resources and energy transition

The company Steinbach energy has a long tradition of endeavouring to make production processes climate-friendly and as environmentally friendly as possible, and this is not the first time it has done pioneering work in this field with the large storage facility described above.

Looking at the world's current trouble spots once again reminds us of the urgency of becoming independent of fossil energy sources. We are convinced that Protecting the environment and future generations to focus on responsible resource management and boldly drive innovation.
